Begin your scenic journey to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir
En route, enjoy mesmerizing views of the Banihal Tunnel, Chenani–Nashri Tunnel, and the snow-covered landscapes of the Pir Panjal mountain range.
On arrival at Srinagar, check in to your hotel and relax after the long journey.
If time permits, visit some of Srinagar’s local gems:
Shankaracharya Temple: Situated atop a hill, offering panoramic views of Dal Lake and the city.
Chashme Shahi Garden: Famous Mughal garden with natural spring water fountains.
Pari Mahal: An ancient observatory with stunning sunset views over Dal Lake.
Boulevard Road: Evening walk along the Dal Lake with floating markets and local handicraft shops.

After breakfast, drive towards Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold) – located about 85 km from Srinagar.
The drive itself is breathtaking, with views of snow-covered peaks, frozen streams, and alpine forests.
En route, capture stunning winter landscapes along the Sindh River.

At Sonmarg:
Visit Thajiwas Glacier (accessible by pony ride, at own cost) – known for its pure white snow even in February.
Enjoy snow activities such as sledging, skiing, and snow biking.
If the weather is clear, enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic Harmukh Peak and Kolahoi Glacier.
Return to Srinagar by evening and check in to your Deluxe Houseboat at Nigeen Lake.
Enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride (complimentary for 1 hour) over the tranquil waters of Nigeen, admiring the reflection of snow-clad mountains in the lake.

The route passes through beautiful villages like Tangmarg, covered in snow during February.

At Gulmarg:
Take the world-famous Gulmarg Gondola Ride (Asia’s highest cable car – tickets at own expense):
Phase 1: From Gulmarg to Kungdoori – enjoy panoramic snow views.
Phase 2: From Kungdoori to Apharwat Peak – witness breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Try snow activities like skiing, snowboarding, sledging, or snow biking (optional).
Visit Maharani Temple (Rani Temple) and St. Mary’s Church, both surrounded by scenic snow vistas.
Return to Tangmarg (near Gulmarg) for night stay, avoiding the deep snow zone.

After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) –.
The route passes through beautiful apple orchards, saffron fields (Pampore), and the scenic Lidder River.

In Pahalgam:
Visit the famous Aru Valley – a pristine valley known for its lush meadows, pine forests, and snow in February. It’s a paradise for photography and short nature walks.
Explore Betab Valley – named after the Bollywood film Betaab, filmed here. The valley is surrounded by snow-covered peaks and crystal-clear streams, ideal for romantic moments and photography.
Head to Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. In winter, this area is blanketed with snow and perfect for short hikes or snowball fun.
All three valleys can be covered using a local union vehicle (at own cost) as outside vehicles are restricted.
