Day 1 : ARRIVAL MANALI FULL THROUGH INSPECTION
After arrival at Manali, a full through inspection of the bikes with our mechanic and then take a ride for to know the torque characteristic of the bike. Go riding on the Himalayan riding premier through the challenging roads along the Kullu Valley. The tricky bends and stretches on the road will help you test the characteristics of the bike and acquaint yourself to handle the motor beast for your Ladakh biking adventure. Overnight at Hotel in Manali.
Day 2 : MANALI TO SERCHU VIA ROHTANG LA PASS
Manali to Serchu via Rohtang pass (3,979mts) and Baralacha pass (4890mts). Today you will experience the first thrill of high Himalayan biking while passing through the high snow-covered Rothang and Baralacha pass. You will be passing through many villages of Himachal like Jispa, Darcha, and Keylong. Serchu is the border of the two states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. After today you will be entering the state of Jammu and Kashmir. During this day of your Ladakh biking adventure tour, you will see the great change of landscape from the lush green mountains of Himachal to the dry and rugged mountains of Ladakh. Overnight at the Serchu deluxe camp.
Day 3 : SERCHU TO LEH VIA TANGLANG LA PASS
Serchu to Leh via Lachung la pass(5,059mts) and Tanglang La pass(5,359mts). Today your riding skills will be tested as you will come across the roughest road and highest passes along your way. The ride is scenic with so much of different mountains with different shapes will amaze you along your way. After crossing the Tanglang La pass you will start seeing the villages of Ladakh. Enroute there are lots of villages which are decorated with lush green fields of barley and willow trees where one really starts getting the feel of Ladakh's diverse culture and landscape. Reach Hotel at Leh and then relax after such tiering ride.
Day 4 : MONASTIC TOUR AROUND LEH
Start your day with a delectable breakfast at the hotel, and take your days ride to the enthralling Hemis Monastery to kickstart your day of Ladakh biking adventure. Any destination is said to be experienced the best when one indulges in its local culture, traditions, food, and anything that binds its people together. Talking about Leh, the place is laden with numerous monasteries and stupas, signifying its rich culture and a strong positive influence of Buddhism. Your first stop on this day of Ladakh biking adventure, Hemis Monastery is a perfect place to absorb such positive vibes and experience the traditions of this picturesque destination. Located on the western bank of the gushing Indus River, the monastery is built upon a green hillside inside a gorge, surrounded by a gorgeous mountainous vista. Having seen something so lush and serene, head to the Thiksey Monastery to elevate this experience. One of the biggest gompas in Ladakh, it houses an abundance of intrinsic Tibetan architecture. There are paintings of the holy thangkas & ferocious deities, along with large pillars engraved with Buddha’s precious teachings. Absorb the spirituality and warmth this beautiful structure has to offer and enjoy a picturesque view of the green Indus valley expanse. After a day full of such an amazing cultural extravaganza, head back to the hotel on your Royal Enfield. Relax & unwind, and enjoy a scrumptious dinner before heading to your room for a comfortable nights’ sleep.
Day 5 : LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDONG LA PASS (5602 Mts) WORLD'S HIGHEST MOTOR ABLE ROAD
Early morning proceeds to Nubra Valley via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla Pass. Khardung La Pass (18,380ft above sea level): It is not very often that one gets to ride on a road at an altitude of 18,380 feet. That is where Khardungla Pass, meaning the ‘Pass of Lower Castle,’ is located on the way from Leh to the Nubra Valley in Ladakh. It is the highest motorable road in the world as signs put up by the Border Roads Organization proudly proclaim. Today at this day of your Ladakh biking adventure your riding skills will be tested while crossing the Khardong la as the road around the pass is rough, high and bumpy. Arrive at Nubra Valley and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis). Nubra Valley: Popularly called the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post-monsoon season. You will definitely be overwhelmed to see the Bactrian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes. Thereafter, check in at Swiss comfortable Camp or Hotel. The evening is for you to spend at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp or hotel.
Day 6 : NUBRA VALLEY TO LEH
The morning after Breakfast proceed for Diskit Monastery. Diskit Monastery: One of the oldest temples of this area, the temple has a huge idol of Tsong-Kha-pa, crowned with a Gelugpa yellow hat. The Diskit Gompa dates back to the 14th century and owes its inception to Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong-Kha-pa. Post the Diskit Monastery, proceed for the backward journey to Leh, once again riding via Khardungla pass the World Highest Motorable road. In the evening, you can explore Leh bazaar for souvenir and some shopping on your own. Later, enjoy your dinner & a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 : DAY TRIP TO PANGONG LAKE VIA CHANG LA PASS
Continuing this relaxed yet adventurous Ladakh biking adventure, start another day with a delectable breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast, get ready to take an excursion to Pangong. Ride to the mesmerizing Pangong Lake on the Indo-China Border, which is a sight that no one should miss when traveling to Ladakh. En route, you would be crossing the Changla Pass, the third highest motor-able road in the world. The whole journey is laden with amazing sceneries of never-ending Himalayan mountain ranges. Passing such gorgeous bounties of nature, reach Pangong Lake, one of the largest brackish lakes in Asia, situated at a height of 4,250 meters. Imagine a clear blue lake creating soothing sounds with its waves, a throng of mountains in the background, sand and small pebbles everywhere, and a long road penetrating this gorgeous scenery, leading its way to the ever-expanding enthralling vistas – this is something you would experience on this excursion of your Ladakh biking adventure. Spend plenty of time here relaxing, clicking pictures and making many ever-lasting memories and then head back towards Leh. In the evening, return to the hotel in Leh after such a fun and exciting day. Enjoy some delicious dinner and head to your rooms for a comfortable nights’ stay.
Day 8 : LEH TO TSOMORIRI LAKE VIA CHUMATHANG (HOT SPRING)
After breakfast, it’s time to kick-start your motorcycles for today's biking adventure. Today our ride goes through the Indus River till up to Mahi Bridge, en route enjoys the appealing villages along the riverside, famous hot springs, and beautiful monasteries. By switching our right indicator we leave the valley to enter the heart of Rupshu, the most isolated part of Ladakh. By taking the sandy and rough track with our off riding skill we reach the second most important lake in Ladakh that is Tsomoriri lake 15075 feet above mean sea level. Tsomoriri Lake (28 km long & about 8 km wide) is the breeding ground for many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese.Tsomoriri is mind-numbingly beautiful, Calm and sacred lake for Ladakhis. Tsomoriri is slightly higher than Pangong Tso and the water is far less brackish supporting more birdlife. The water is crystal clear and of a deep blue color. However, since the Tsomoriri Lake has no outlet, its waters are consequently brackish, although not very detectable to the taste. Explore lake, visit Korzok monastery and look out for high altitude wildlife. Overnight stay at deluxe camp by the lakeside.
Day 9 : TSOMORIRI TO LEH VIA TSOKAR LAKE & TANGLANGLA PASS
After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 meters) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and supports many rare wildlife species. After sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglang-la (alt: 17,585ft) en- route. Arrive hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 : DEPARTURE WITH SWEET MEMORIES OF LADAKH BIKING ADVENTURE
Departure to Leh airport with the sweet memories of Ladakh biking adventure.
