Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Leh

If you are planning to have an anti-altitude pill before travel such as Diamox, then we strongly recommend consulting an experienced doctor before you have it. In the morning, board your flight for Leh. On arrival, a MakeMyTrip representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Leh. The rest of the day will be for you to relax and acclimatize. (Since you are reaching an altitude of 4000 meters approximately from 200 meters in just one hour’s time, you may be excited and would want to explore everything on your very first day. However, it is your body which needs to get acclimatized to such height and climate. We sincerely suggest that you rest on the first day for body acclimatization.) Later, enjoy your dinner & a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : Monastic tour around Leh

After a delicious breakfast in the morning, drive to Hemis Monastery. Drive to Thiksey Monastery for a visit. After these visits, return to Leh and you will be dropped at Leh Market/hotel for Lunch (on direct payment basis). Post lunch, you will leave for the sightseeing of Shanti Stupa. Later, enjoy your dinner & a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Leh to Nubra Valley Via Khardungla Pass: 140 Km / 5 -6 Hours

Early morning proceeds to Nubra Valley via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla Pass. Khardung La Pass (18,380ft above sea level): It is not very often that one gets to drive on a road at an altitude of 18,380 feet. That is where Khardungla Pass, meaning the ‘Pass of Lower Castle,’ is located on the way from Leh to the Nubra Valley in Ladakh. It is the highest motorable road in the world as signs put up by the Border Roads Organization proudly proclaim. Arrive at Nubra Valley and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis). Nubra Valley: Popularly called the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post-monsoon season. You will definitely be overwhelmed to see the Bactrian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes. Thereafter, check in at Swiss comfortable Camp or Hotel. The evening is for you to spend at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp or hotel.

Day 4 : Nubra Valley | Excursion to Panamik Hot Springs

After breakfast, proceed to the Panamik Hot springs in Nubra Valley. Renowned for its curative hot springs, Panamik is situated close to Siachen glacier, the highest battlefield in the world. About 150 km from Leh, Panamik in the Nubra valley is known for its hot water spring. Surrounded by snowcapped mountains, the green valley of Panamik is a sight to behold. The village stands on the banks of Nubra River. The scenic beauty, Sulphur Springs and the proximity to Siachen glacier make it a must-visit destination. Panamik is the last civilian settlement before Siachen base camp (where no civilians are allowed). Your lunch will be packed and you can have it at the Hot Springs. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 : Nubra Valley to Leh Via Khardungla Pass: 140 Kms/ 5 - 6 Hours

The morning after Breakfast proceed for Diskit Monastery. Diskit Monastery: One of the oldest temples of this area, the temple has a huge idol of Tsong-Kha-pa, crowned with a Gelugpa yellow hat. The Diskit Gompa dates back to the 14th century and owes its inception to Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong-Kha-pa. Post the Diskit Monastery, proceed for the backward journey to Leh, once again driving via Khardungla pass the World Highest Motorable road. In the evening, you can explore Leh bazaar for souvenir and some shopping on your own. Later, enjoy your dinner & a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 : Excursion to Pangong Lake (280 kms round trip)

Continuing this relaxed yet adventurous Ladakh holiday, start another day with a delectable breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast, get ready to take an excursion to Pangong, for which you would be picked up in a suitable vehicle as per the group size. Be driven to the mesmerizing Pangong Lake on the Indo-China Border, which is a sight that no one should miss when traveling to Ladakh. En route, you would be crossing the Changla Pass, the third highest motor-able road in the world. The whole journey is laden with amazing sceneries of never-ending Himalayan mountain ranges. Passing such gorgeous bounties of nature, reach Pangong Lake, one of the largest brackish lakes in Asia, situated at a height of 4,250 meters. Imagine a clear blue lake creating soothing sounds with its waves, a throng of mountains in the background, sand and small pebbles everywhere, and a long road penetrating this gorgeous scenery, leading its way to the ever-expanding enthralling vistas – this is something you would experience on this excursion. Spend plenty of time here relaxing, clicking pictures and making many ever-lasting memories. In the evening, return to the hotel in Leh after such a fun and exciting day. Enjoy some delicious dinner and head to your rooms for a comfortable night’s stay. Please note: All meals provided during your Pangong visit would be vegetarian, irrespective of the meal preference provided.

Day 7 : Sham Valley Tour

In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Sangam (Confluence). On your way, visit Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Visit Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River. Magnetic Hill: Can anyone ever imagine the movement of a vehicle up a steep mountain with its engines off? Reach Magnetic Hill to experience this phenomenon which sounds unbelievable. Gurudwara Patthar Sahib: Gurudwara Pathar Sahib is a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh on the Leh-Kargil road. The Gurudwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to the Ladakh region, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith. On your way back, visit Ladakh Hall of fame. Hall of Fame: Hall of Fame in Leh is a must visit for every individual of India. This is constructed by the Indian Army. You will find memorabilia, eminent defense personalities’ biographies, images and weapons used during Kargil war and belongings of enemy soldiers found at war site.
Day 8 : Departure with sweet memories of Ladakh
