This is the most popular and well-connected circuit, perfect for first-time visitors who want to experience the core of the Dooars.

Base: Lataguri or Murti, which are close to Gorumara National Park.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival & Wildlife Encounter

  Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at NJP/Bagdogra and transfer to your resort in Lataguri or Murti. The journey itself is scenic, with views of tea gardens and forests. Check in and have lunch.
  
  Afternoon: Go for a jeep safari in Gorumara National Park. This park is famous for its population of Indian one-horned rhinoceros. You can also spot other animals like wild elephants, bison (gaur), deer, and various bird species. The safaris often take you to watchtowers like Medla, Jatraprasad, or Chukchuki for better animal viewing.
  
  Evening: Relax at your resort. Some resorts organize tribal dance performances in the evening.

• Day 2 : The Seven-Point Circuit

  Morning: After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of the scenic spots in the area, often referred to as the "7-Point Tour." The route typically includes:
  
  Samsing: A small, picturesque hill village with orange orchards and a serene ambiance.
  
  Suntalekhola: A quieter place surrounded by dense forests. A small hanging bridge leads to a forest lodge.
  
  Rocky Island: Located on the Murti River, this is a great spot for a picnic and to enjoy the sound of the gushing river.
  
  Jhalong: Situated on the Indo-Bhutan border, this is known for its beautiful valley and the Jaldhaka river.
  
  Bindu: The last village on the Indian side, known for its scenic beauty, Bindu Dam, and cardamom plantations.
  
  Evening: Return to your resort. Enjoy a peaceful evening.

  Morning: Enjoy a leisurely morning. You can visit the Murti River bank for a peaceful stroll or go for an early morning jeep safari in Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary (a different forest from Gorumara).
  
  Late Morning: Check out from your resort. You can visit the Khayerbari Leopard Rescue Center on your way back.
  
  Afternoon: Transfer back to NJP/Bagdogra for your onward journey.
