The Jaldapara - Buxa Circuit - Eastern Dooars Tour

Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at NJP/Bagdogra and transfer to your resort in Madarihat or Jayanti. This is a longer drive than the Lataguri route, but it's very scenic.

Afternoon: Check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, head for a jeep safari in Chilapata Forest. This forest is an elephant corridor connecting Jaldapara and Buxa. You can also visit the ruins of the 5th-century Nalraja Garh fort.

Early Morning: Get up before sunrise for a wildlife experience.

Jaldapara National Park Safari: Jaldapara is famous for its elephant safaris and jeep safaris, which offer a high chance of spotting the one-horned rhino. Pre-booking an elephant safari is highly recommended.

Afternoon: After breakfast and some rest, head towards Buxa Tiger Reserve and Jayanti. You can visit the historic Buxa Fort, which was a British detention camp. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Jayanti River bed, which offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and the river.

Evening: Return to your resort in Madarihat or Jayanti.

Morning: After breakfast, visit Rajabhatkhawa, a small town at the entrance of Buxa Tiger Reserve. You can visit the Nature Interpretation Centre here.

Late Morning: Drive towards Cooch Behar to see the Cooch Behar Palace, a beautiful example of European architecture.

Afternoon: Transfer to NJP/Bagdogra for your onward journey.
