Bhandardhara Dam, Ahmednagar

Also known by the name of Wilson Dam, Bhandardhara Dam is the largest earthen dam in India. It was built in the year 1910 and stands on Pravara River. Having a massive height of 492 feet, it catches the attention of the tourists from the different parts of Maharashtra. Its structure is said to be the marvelous example of engineering in the then days and at present, it is a prominent site that shouldn’t be missed while visiting Ahmednagar.
