A 3-day Mount Meru trekking itinerary typically involves the ascent and descent of the mountain. Here’s a general outline of what such a trek might look like:
Start at Momella Gate, the entrance to Arusha National Park.
Register with park authorities and begin the trek.
Hike through the lower slopes of the mountain, passing through different vegetation zones.
Reach Miriakamba Hut, situated at an elevation of around 2,514 meters (8,245 feet).

Meals: Full Board

Continue the ascent through the alpine meadows and moorland.
Reach Saddle Hut, located at approximately 3,570 meters (11,712 feet).
This day involves a steeper climb compared to the first day.
Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Begin the summit attempt early in the morning, usually around midnight.
Ascend to Socialist Peak (Uhuru Peak), the summit of Mount Meru, at an altitude of about 4,566 meters (14,980 feet).
Witness the sunrise from the summit, providing breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding area.
Descend back to Saddle Hut for a rest and then continue to Miriakamba Hut.
Finally, descend to Momella Gate.
Complete the trek and sign out with the park authorities.
