Day 1

Arrival in Paro – Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport.

Transfer to Thimphu (1.5–2 hrs drive).

Visit Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma Statue, and Tashichho Dzong.

Evening stroll in Thimphu city.

Overnight: Thimphu

Activities : Adventure
Day 2

Thimphu Sightseeing

Visit National Library and Folk Heritage Museum.

Explore School of Arts & Crafts and Zorig Chusum (traditional arts school).

Stop at Motithang Takin Preserve (national animal).

Optional: Archery experience, Bhutan’s national sport.

Overnight: Thimphu

Activities : Hiking
Day 3

Thimphu – Punakha via Dochula Pass

Drive to Punakha (3–4 hrs).

Enroute, stop at Dochula Pass for panoramic Himalayan views and 108 chortens.

Visit Punakha Dzong and the Suspension Bridge.

Evening walk along the riverbanks of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu.

Overnight: Punakha

Activities : Bird Watching
Day 4

Punakha – Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley – Paro

Early morning drive to Phobjikha Valley / Gangtey Monastery (approx. 3 hrs).

Explore Gangtey Monastery, the valley, and local villages.

Return to Paro (4–5 hrs drive).

Overnight: Paro

Activities : Monuments & Historical Places
Day 5

Paro – Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang Monastery)

Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (3–4 hrs uphill).

Explore Paro Dzong and National Museum if time permits.

Optional: Hot stone bath at hotel or local spa.

Overnight: Paro

Departure from Paro

Free time for last-minute shopping or local sightseeing.
