Day 1

PICK UP BAGDOGRA TO PHUENTSHOLING (170 KM-4hrs)

Meet & Greet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Phuentsholing, the thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing / Jaigaon.

Day 2

PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU (172 km -6hrs)

On arrival, Meet & Greet with your Tour Representative from India Bhutan Tours. Proceed for immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.), the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy local sightseeing on the way to Thimphu. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING

Embark on an exciting journey through Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital and the residence of the royal family. Start your day with a visit to Buddha Point and Simply Bhutan, a living museum showcasing traditional Bhutanese life. The view from BBS Tower is stunning and provides a perfect introduction to Thimphu. Explore religious sites like the National Memorial Chorten and the historic Chang Gangkha Monastery. Nature lovers shouldn’t miss the National Zoo with its unique national animal, the takin. Discover Bhutan’s spiritual side at the National Library, and enjoy the local crafts at the Handicraft Market. Day 4

THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA (77km-3hrs)

Embark on a picturesque journey from Thimphu to Punakha, covering 73 kilometers in approximately 3 hours. Depart after breakfast, enjoying the scenic drive through Dochula Pass en route to Punakha, situated at an altitude of 1300m/4265ft. Punakha, blessed with fertile lands from the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, showcases its natural beauty and cultural richness. Morning exploration begins with Punakha Dzong, the ‘Palace of Great Happiness,’ built in the 17th century and now serving as the winter residence for Je Khenpo, the head abbot, and a community of 1,000 monks. Afternoon ventures include a visit to the historic Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s oldest, and Chimi Lhakhang, the 15th-century Temple of Fertility. Evening descent immerses you in Punakha’s rich history and natural splendor. Overnight stay in Punakha.

PUNAKHA TO PARO (62km-2hrs)

This morning, take a return drive to Paro. Visit the perfectly symmetrical Rinpung Dzong, built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan. Visit Ta Dzong, a castle-shaped watchtower built to defend Rinpung Dzong during the 17th-century inter-valley wars, now housing the National Museum. Later, take an excursion tour to the burnt ruins of Drugyel Dzong (Victorious Fortress), about eighteen kilometers from Paro town on the south side of the valley. This monastery repelled several invading Tibetan armies during the 17th century. Overnight stay at the hotel.

PARO TO PHUENTSHOLING

BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Important Information

As per Tourism Council Of Bhutan All Indian tourist above 12 years will have to pay 1200 per person per night as Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) and Children 5 to 12 years will have to pay 600 per person per night .Child below 5 years do not have to pay any charges.
Documents required for Bhutan Immigration is ONLY Voter id/Passport (minimum validity 6 months for passport)
• Children below 18 years can carry birth Certificate in English.
• SDF charges : Below 5 years is free - 5 to 12 years 600 per night above 12 years 1200 per night( per person per night).
• As per new Tourism rules Guide is Mandatory in Bhutan.
• Travel Insurance is Mandatory in Bhutan.
• Bhutan Immigration office remains opened from 8:30 A.M to 8 P.M all 7 days a week.
• Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced if asked by hotel.
• A valid photo ID proof for all guests staying at the hotel is mandatory.
• For Extra adult in the room we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but most of the hotels only provide extra mattress or roll out bed. Most of the hotels have no provision of an extra bed.
• The above mentioned hotels will be confirmed as per the room availability. Otherwise similar category hotel will be provided. All the rooms are base category.
• Above rates are for Indian Nationals only.
