9 Days Sikkim - Darjeeling Tour

Once you arrive at Bagdogra airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative, with whom you will embark on the road trip to Gangtok, which is the capital of the state of Sikkim. Blessed with greenery and Himalayan peaks, Gangtok is the home to many ancient and significant monasteries. The drive is about 4 hrs depending on the road conditions passing through some very scenic roads along the river Teesta. If you happen to arrive early in the day, a stroll along MG Marg in the evening is a recommended activity. Mark an end to the first day of your tour with a peaceful sleep.

Next, seek blessings from Baba Mandir, a majestic temple that honors Baba Harbhajan Singh. These destinations not only are the geographical treasures but have a serene ambiance with political and historical significance. You can even drive to NathuLa Pass to Republic of China and explore its beauty.

Start early as you have a whole day to explore exciting and breath-taking places to visit. Lachung is a village surrounded by snow-capped peaks and beautiful alpine meadows. The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu being the other places of interest. On the way enjoy the beauty of few wonderful locations like Tashi Viewpoint, Butterfly Water fall, Naga Waterfalls, Amitabh Bachan Waterfall. By the time you reach this offbeat place, it is almost evening and you can self explore its nearby places. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Kickstart your day by early morning breakfast and go for a sightseeing tour. Sightseeing will be full day hence the drive will be easy and comfortable. Relish some soulful time in Research Institute of Tibetology & Gunjang Monastery. Next head towards Tashi Viewpoint for capturing far- reaching views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Go for an excursion to Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Flower Show. Enjoy a cable car on the Ropeway and catch the bird’s eye view of the surroundings. Other attractions that will be covered are Bakthang Waterfalls, Banjhakri Falls, one of the finest falls close to Gangtok, Hanuman Tok & Ganesh Tok- a temple situated atop the hill.
