  • Day 1 : DELHI

    Welcome to India! Arrive in the energetic capital city of New Delhi; meet your representative and transfer to the hotel. Time to rest and relax after your journey and acclimate to the new time zone

  • Day 2 : DELHI

    Wake up this morning to the incredible journey in India that awaits you. Begin with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Qutub Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret. Later, continue on to the walled city of Old Delhi, founded by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Drive past the massive Red Fort, a reminder of the magnificent power and pomp of the Mughal emperors. Then, ride a cycle rickshaw along the lanes of Chandni Chowk, once the imperial avenue of Mughal royalty. Travel along the winding streets to Raj Ghat, memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation and site of his cremation. The tour continues to New Delhi, a city of airy boulevards, lush parks and gardens. Visit the and the 20th-century Birla Temple, honoring the Hindu goddess of wealth. Drive past the imposing India Gate War Memorial to Indian and British soldiers, Parliament House and the Presidential Palace. Tonight, return back to the hotel, and attend an orientation meeting with your fellow travelers and Tour Manager, followed by a Welcome Dinner at the hotel

  • Day 3 : DELHI –AGRA

    This morning after breakfast drive to Agra, with its celebrated past, rich heritage and architectural treasures.

    A memorable day as you visit the astonishing Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved queen. This is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world, built of white marble and precious stones over a 22-year period; regarded as the finest example of Mughal design in the world. Afterwards, stop at Marble workshop, whose founding family was inspired by the Taj Mahal to become a manufacturer of fine inlaid marble work. Marvel at the museum quality workmanship as you watch a demonstration of the timely process of marble carvings, filigree and stone inlay. Afterwards, you'll be able to browse their decorative items. Later, visit the red sandstone Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its incredible maze of walled courtyards, mosques and lavish private chambers reflecting the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. The balance of the day is at leisure.

  • Day 4 : AGRA – GWALIOR

    Next morning after breakfast, drive to Gwalior. Upon reaching the royal city of Gwalior, get accommodated at one of our listed hotels. After resting and relaxing for a while, embark on a guided tour of Gwalior. The major tourist attractions scheduled for the day include Gwalior Fort, Jai Vilas Palace, Man Mandir Palace, Suraj Kund and the Teli Ka Mandir. After the sightseeing tour return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 5 : GWALIOR - KHAJURAHO

    After breakfast drive to Khajuraho, as you reach Khajuraho, check-in at one of our enlisted hotels. Take some rest before embarking on a guided tour of Khajuraho. Visit the famous Chandela dynasty temples. Later in the day visit the Western Group of temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu includes Kandariya Mahadeva temple, Matangeshwar temple, Lakshmana temple, and the Varaha temple. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 6 : KHAJURAHO – ORCHA

    Post breakfast, transfer to Orccha. Upon reaching Orchha, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After taking some rest, move out to explore the Jehangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chhatris. Also visit the Laxminarayan temple and Raj Mahal featuring vibrant murals encompassing a variety of religious and secular themes. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 7 : ORCHA – JHANSI – BHOPAL

    After breakfast in time transfer to railway station to board the train for Bhopal.
    On arrival at Bhopal railway station transfer to Bhopal. Afternoon orientation tour of the city.
    Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 8 : BHOPAL – BHOJPUR - BHIMBETKA -BHOPAL

    After breakfast full day excursion to Bhojpur and Bhimbetka. Bhojpur was founded by Raja Bhoj and has the ruins of a Shiva Temple. The symbol of Shiva, the Lingam, is a huge monolith. At Bhimbetka, about 700 rock shelters belonging to the Neolithic age have been discovered. Over 500 caves have paintings of pre-historic time. Return in time to visit the museum at Bhopal to recap on sculptures and artifacts from Bhojpur, Bhimbetka and other parts of Madhya Pradesh.

  • Day 9 : BHOPAL– EXCURSION TO UDAIGIRI – SANCHI – RAISEN – BHOPAL

    After breakfast Morning full day excursion to Udaigiri, Sanchi and Raisen. Proceed to Udaigiri to visit caves cut into sandstone hills, dating back to AD 320-606 with images and icons of Hindu and Jain Gods. On way back visit Sanchi which has the distinction of having the finest specimens of almost all Buddhist architectural forms : stupas, chaitya, temples and monasteries, dating from 3rd century BC. Also visit Raisen which is now accessible by road all the way to the gate of the Fort (previously there was an uphill walk of about 1-Km). It especially looks pretty in the afternoon, with nice views around.

  • Day 10 : BHOPAL – INDORE ( 250 km / Approximately 6 hours)

    This morning after breakfast depart Indore for Indore en-route visiting Ujjain – Ujjain was used as the base for calculations of Hindu astronomy, astrology and geography. Visit the temple of Mahakaleshwar, Jantar Mantar, Bathing Ghats of Shipra River and the Gopal Mandir, a 19th century temples of Maratha-style architecture. Also see the Water Palace of Mandu Sultans known as the Kaliadha and the Palace of Scindia Maharajas.
    Later continue drive to Indore and on arrival check-in at hotel. Later in the afternoon half day sightseeing of Indore – drive past the Old Palace (now seat for Government Offices) and the New Palace (now a hospital) visit to Manik Bagh and the Lal Bagh which is now converted into a museum displaying furniture-collections and other artifacts of the palace (open for 10 am to 5 pm, except for holidays) and the Kanch Mandir, the Jain temple – inside of which is completely mirrored with some Jain legends depicted in stained glass (open in morning / afternoons only). The Museum at Indore displays sculptures and coins of the Malwa reign and has the biggest collection antiques and sculptures in Madhya Pradesh.
    Evening will be at leisure to relax.

  • Day 11 : INDORE - MANDU EXCURSION

    Breakfast at hotel, full day excursion to Mandu (approx 100 kms distance and 2½ hours driving time one way from Indore).
    Jahaz Mahal (or the Ship Palace) is probably the most famous building in Mandu. This ship-like structure was constructed by Ghiyas-ud-din, son of Mohammed Shah, for his harem. According to the legends, this harem was home to 15,000 maidens. There are two lakes on the east and west side of the palace that create a perfect illusion of a ship with its rectangular shape.
    Hindola Mahal (or Swing Palace) was a pleasure dome that gives the impression that the inward slopes of the walls are swaying.
    Hoshang’s Tomb is located immediately behind the mosque and reputed to be the oldest marble structure in India. The tomb was constructed in 1435 and depicts typical Hindu influences including carved marble lattice screens (jali). It is said that Shahjahansent his architects to study this double-domed structure before constructing Taj Mahal.
    Ashrafi Mahal was originally built as a madarsa (a Muslim religious school), but later extended to become Mohammed Shah’s tomb. Now only the ruins of this building are visible.
    Rupmati’s Pavilion A large sandstone structure originally built as an army observation post it is known today as Roopmati’s Pavilion. Rani Roopmati – the love interest of Baaz Bahadur lived here and is said to have gazed at the Baz Bahadur’s Palace – situated below and also at Narmada river, flowing through the Nimar plains far below, a river which the queen revered.
    Evening return back to Indore

  • Day 12 : INDORE - BURHANPUR ( 180 km / 4 ½ hours)

    After breakfast derive to Burhanpur. On arrival check in at hotel.
    Later in the afternoon half day sightseeing visiting Jama Masjid and Paintings at the Shahi Qila.
    Evening will be at leisure to relax.
    Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 13 : BURHANPUR – AURNGABAD

    Post breakfast drive to Auragabad. On arrival check in at hotel.
    Later visit Ellora caves. It located 30 Kms from Aurangabad city and another fine example of ancient Indian rock cut architecture art. It is a UNESCO World heritage site. These caves are among the largest rock-hewn monastic-temple complexes in the entire world. Ellora has a total of 34 caves including Buddhist, Hindu and Jain cave temples which were built long back in the 6th and 9th centuries. (Closed on Tuesday).

  • Day 14 : AURANGABAD

    Post breakfast drive to Ajanta Caves (approx. 02 hour). It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site; houses 30 rock cut Buddhist caves. These secluded caves date from around the 2nd century BC to the 6th century AD and were among the earliest monastic institutions to be constructed in the country. (Closed on Monday). The caves are well known for its great art and Indian craftsmen. You will get to see lots of painting and carving.
    Evening return to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 15 : AURANGABAD / MUMBAI FLY

    After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Mumbai, upon arrival transfer to hotel.
    Today time free to relax.

  • Day 16 : MUMBAI DEPARTURE

    After breakfast proceed to visit Dhobi Ghat, Elephanta Caves (UNESCO World heritage site) by ferry. Return back to city. Afternoon visit Mani Bhavan Museum ( Gandhi Museum) , later drive past Marin drive Victoria Terminus railway station ( UNESCO World heritage site).
    Later transfer to airport for onward journey.
