We start our sightseeing by visiting the Great Wall at Juyong Pass. The Great Wall of China is one of the most iconic and monumental architectural achievements in human history. It’s a vast series of fortifications that stretches across northern China, originally built to protect Chinese states and empires from invasions and raids by nomadic groups from the north. Nestled within the 18-kilometer-long Guangou Valley, Juyong Pass is surrounded by lush mountains, offering picturesque views. The area is unique because the Great Wall forms a complete loop here, enclosing a fortified city with ancient temples and buildings. Next, we visit the “Beijing Dragon Land Superior Jade Gallery,” where visitors can observe skilled artisans meticulously carving jade into intricate designs, ranging from delicate jewelry to elaborate sculptures. Demonstrations often showcase the process of transforming raw jade into finished pieces, providing insight into the craftsmanship involved. Our last stop will be a photo stop at the iconic “Bird’s Nest” stadium, which is an architectural marvel located in the Olympic Green Village of Beijing. Designed for the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, it has since become a symbol of modern China and a prominent tourist attraction.
