Explore the rich heritage of North 24 Parganas with this Durga Puja special tour. Visit the grand mansions (Rajbaris) of Dhanyakuriya and Arbeliya, witness the unique Durga Puja celebrations in these historical estates, and unwind by the serene horseshoe-shaped lake at Beri Baor. Starting as early as 7:30 am in the morning, we pick up from a variety of places in the district
as well as the city, in our journey towards
the ‘Castle Village’ of West Bengal.
We pick up from a variety of locations in Kolkata
and Newtown.
We enter the town which is famous for its temples and
castle like ‘Zamindar House’.
Gobardanga is situated on the banks on Jamuna river.We see the Durga Puja of the Zamindar Bari andthe Ma Pasannamoyee Kali Temple.
After a short ride through the villages, we reach
Panchpota. There we see Beri Baor.
Beri Baor is a 0.6KM long ox-bow lake which is formed
by the meanndering Ichhamati River. After boating, weget for a delicious lunch.
The evening begins with a visit to the Arbeliya BasuBari where we see the Durga Puja which was started
by Arobindo Kumar Basu.
Then departing from Arbeliya, we reach Dhanyakuriya.There we see 4 important Durga Pujas, in the Gayen,Sahoo, Ballav and Sammaddar Zamindar Baris.
