Starting as early as 7:30 am in the morning, we pick up from a variety of places in the district, as we head towards the city of Bishnupur in Bankura District.
We pick up from a variety of locations within Kolkata and Newtown.
We begin our tour by entering the town of Bishnupur.The Teracotta temples and monuments present here dates back centuries and showcases rare examples of Pancharatna and Aatchala architecture.
We get our day pass from here and then proceed to see the beautiful monuments and After a short visit through the temples, we visit a special house where the family makes Dashavatarcards - a unique handicraft from Bishnupur.
We proceed to visit a few more spots and then stop for our lunch.
The evening begins with a visit to one of the oldest man-made lake of the area, the Lal Bandh. A beautiful place to relax after lunch. Lastly, we visit, one of the massive cannon of medieval Bengal, the Dal Madal cannon, which is used even today.
