The tour begins with your arrival at the airport, where you will be picked up and taken to your accommodation. You will get a peek at Delhi’s cultural legacy on the first day. Delhi, India’s national capital and one of the country’s most populous cities, is rich in architecture and historical places for travellers to explore.
Raj Ghat
Raj Ghat is Mahatma Gandhi’s monument and the site of his cremation following his assassination. The monument comprises a black marble slab with the phrase “Hey Ram” etched on it, his last words as he died. On the other side of the stone is a lantern with an eternal flame blazing for all these years. Many international dignitaries visit Raj Ghat to pay their respects to Mahatma Gandhi, India’s founding father.
Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque), a famous landmark and one of the popular tourist destinations in Delhi, is also India’s largest and best-known mosque. It will take you to the period between 1638 and 1857 when Delhi was regarded as Shahjahanabad, the glorious capital of the Mughal Empire. Prince Shah Jahan, who also authorised the Taj Mahal in Agra, built it. This architecture-loving king embarked on a construction binge during his reign, commonly considered the “golden age” of Mughal architecture.
Red Fort
The Mughals built the Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila, in 1638, and it still exists today as an emblem of the Mughal era in India. With its massive walls reaching 33 meters in height, this monument exemplifies the Mughals’ architectural genius and is one of the fort’s unique features. Every evening, a sound and light display is presented for the tourists, representing the heritage of the fort using spotlights and narration.
Qutub Minar
The Qutub Minar is a skyscraper and “victory tower” part of the Qutb complex, located in Delhi’s earliest walled city, Lal Kot, which the Tomar Rajputs constructed. It is located in the Mehrauli neighbourhood of South Delhi, India, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Drive by India Gate, the President’s House, Parliament House, and the Government Secretariat Buildings throughout your trip. We will introduce you to other hotel guests for a pleasant night’s stay.
Activities : Forts and Palaces
Your day will continue to be filled with exciting explorations of the city of Agra, with the Taj Mahal at its centre. Although the Mughal Empire is associated with Agra, the city was founded much earlier and had ties to the Mahabharata era and Maharishi Angira about 1000 BC. The Taj Mahal, an enormous white marble mausoleum erected in Agra around 1631 and 1648 by order of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in remembrance of his favourite wife, is India’s gem of Muslim artistry and is one of the world’s most recognised creations. This Rajasthan domestic tour package would also allow you to continue your tour by visiting the Agra Fort containing the Royal residential palaces, the Halls of Public and Private Audience and beautiful gardens. We will accommodate overnight stay in your comfort.
Activities : Forts and Palaces
The next morning, we will go to Jaipur, the Pink City. Along with Delhi and Agra, Jaipur forms the third leg of India’s coveted Golden Triangle. It is vivid in its exhibition of ancient Rajasthan culture. Check into your hotel when you arrive in Jaipur. The remainder of the day is yours to explore this lively and colourful metropolis. The Pink City, home to the Hawa Mahal and City Palace, is the urban sprawl at its centre. The south of the Pink City is calmer and quieter, with none of the turmoil associated with the ancient walled city; it is here that the Central Museum and Ram Niwas Garden are located.
Activities : Forts and Palaces
Today, you will start the tour by visiting Amber Fort. Later you will visit Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
Amber Fort: This majestic fort is Jaipur’s main attraction, consisting of an extensive and gorgeous palace complex composed of pink and pale yellow sandstone and white marble. Each of the four components of the compound has its courtyard. You may ride an elephant to the fort, just like the kings of old, or walk right up to the fort in about 10 minutes. You can also choose to drive 4WD to the summit and back.
City Palace: In the centre of Pink City is the City Palace, Jaipur’s most spectacular structure. The palace was erected in the 1720s by Maharaja Jai Singh, and direct royal descendants currently occupy a piece of it. When they walk by the great Tripolia Gate on their way to a formal function, you may see them in procession. This was created as a reception hall in the nineteenth century. Still, it now houses a textile exhibit that includes special handwoven, brocaded, and sequinned textiles formerly used by royalty.
Hawa Mahal: The Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, is located to the east of the City Palace and is one of Jaipur’s most well-known landmarks. The purpose of this 18th-century construction was to allow courtly women to observe events on the street without being observed because they were required to stay in purdah. The Hawa Mahal has 953 windows, some small as peep openings, prohibiting regular people from looking back at the royal women.
Jantar Mantar: The Jantar Mantar, a complex of 18 stone astronomical measuring instruments created in the 18th century on the orders of Maharaja Jai Singh, a passionate astronomer himself, is located to the south of the City Palace in a wide green enclosure. The random placement of forms and buildings gives the sense of an abstract sculpture park, providing a fantastic photo opportunity.
Activities : Forts and Palaces
After breakfast, you will be driven to Jodhpur, the “Blue City.” Jodhpur is known for its unusual colour, which is a nod to the Brahmins, who used to colour their residences blue to keep mosquitoes out and cool during the heat. The ancient city was founded in 1459 and is surrounded by an amazing wall with eight splendid gates. Enjoy day sightseeing at Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan, etc. After the day, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Activities : Forts and Palaces
After having breakfast, visit the next fantastic city included in the Rajasthan domestic tour package, Udaipur. Udaipur, the lovely capital of Mewar in Rajasthan, is a magnificent tourist spot for heritage, culture, and architectural enthusiasts. Massive castles, historic forts, stunning lakes, beautiful green gardens, ancient shrines, romantic backgrounds, and more make it a well-known destination. City Palace, Lake Pichola, and Jagmandir are Udaipur’s best places to visit. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Activities : Forts and Palaces
The lovely journey ends today, and you will travel by your means to your next destination.
