West Bali Nature & Buffaloes 3N/4D Package

This morning the driver and tour guide will pick up guests from their hotel in South Bali and drive them to the island’s west coast. On the way there, a stop will be made at the Royal Temple of Mengwi, which was built in 1634 to serve as the family temple of the Mengwi dynasty. The temple is a truly stunning piece of historical architecture, surrounded by a moat with multi–roofted meru shrines and intricately carved wooden gates. The drive then continues to the Tanah Lot Temple, Bali’s most famous temple which is set dramatically on a small island about 100 meters off the coast. Continue to Puri Dajuma for check in and lunch. Remainder of the day is free at leisure.

Early this morning, guests will be picked up by their driver and tour guide and taken to Negara to see the famous buffalo race – a colorful event that is unique to this area of Bali. The regular Sunday race starts at 07:30 and will finish at around 13:00. Note: Buffalo races occur every Sunday but the big important races happen mostly in July and August On the way back to the hotel a stop will be made in Perancak to visit the turtle sanctuary and meet with local volunteers. Guests then walk to the nearby port where they will be able see an array of colourful phinisi fishing vessels. All built traditionally using ancient Bugis techniques, these unique vessels are only seen in Bugis village. Return to the hotel where a late lunch is served. Overnight in Puri Dajuma.

This morning after breakfast and check-out, guests will be picked up and driven through the hills to a rubber factory, offering an insight into local rubber processing techniques. From there, a two-hour soft trek will allow guests to walk through the rubber plantation and witness the harvesting process. Clove and vanilla trees also can be found here. After the trek, a picnic lunch is served. The drive then continues over scenic roads, passing plantations and rice terraces, before guests arrive in Munduk in the late afternoon. Breakfast is served at the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure until the time comes for guests to depart to their next destination.
