Tagore Hill is one of the famous tourist attractions located in Ranchi. This hill is associated with Jyotiradityanath Tagore, a renowned playwright, freedom fighter, and Rabindranath Tagore's elder brother. According to the history, it is said that Jyotiradityanath Tagore visited this place and was intrigued by the serenity of this location. He built a small home and named it Shanti Dham where he used to pen down the plays. Today, Shanti Dham is frequently visited by people.

1) Tagore Hill served as an abode of Jyotiradityanath Tagore.
2) He constructed a home away from the city on a secluded hill after the death of his wife.
3) Jyotiradityanath Tagore used to visit the locals who lived in the nearby areas.
4) His association with the locals grew stronger with time and he took his last breath in the house located on the hill.
5) After his demise, the hill was renamed as Tagore Hill in his honor and the house was converted into a local heritage site.
Best Time To Visit:-
Tagore Hill, presently, serves as a trekking destination for novice trekkers. People visit this site throughout the year. However, the authorities do not allow visiting the hill during a heavy downpour.
