A 7-day combined itinerary combining a Mount Meru trek with game drives in Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. The tour begins and ends at Kilimanjaro Airport and includes guided hikes on Mount Meru staying in mountain huts and mid-range hotels, followed by wildlife viewing in Tarangire National Park, a full day in Ngorongoro Crater and a game drive in Lake Manyara. Accommodation is a mix of mountain huts and lodges, meals are provided as per the daily meal plan, and transport is by road in 4x4 jeeps equipped for wildlife viewing.
Arrive via Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer by road to Arusha. After a welcome and trip briefing, spend time exploring Arusha, the gateway city for northern Tanzania safaris, enjoying local restaurants and vibrant city life. You will be based at Njiro Legacy hotel for the night where lunch and dinner are provided. Relax and acclimatize after travel to prepare for the trek and safari ahead.

Transfer by road from Njiro Legacy to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park and begin hiking on Mount Meru. Stay at Miriakamba Hut at 2514m, a mountain hut with bunk accommodation and notable views toward the Mt Meru summit and, when clear, Mount Kilimanjaro to the east. Meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner and all meals and drinks are indicated for the day. Enjoy the natural surroundings and prepare for further ascent.

Continue hiking on Mount Meru to Saddle Hut located at approximately 3570m above sea level. Saddle Hut is a series of simple huts with bunk beds and serves as a high camp from which the summit, typically four to five hours away, is climbed by most people who return the same day. Accommodation remains simple in bunk beds and the day includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Complete trekking activities on Mount Meru, then transfer by foot to Momella Gate and by road back to Njiro Legacy hotel in Arusha where you will stay another night. Continue to experience Mount Meru's natural environment and enjoy the hotel facilities in the evening. Meals for the day include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Transfer by road to Tarangire National Park and enjoy game viewing amid classic safari scenery dominated by baobab trees. Tarangire offers abundant elephants, possible sightings of lions, cheetahs and leopards, and many other species such as wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Overnight is at Marera Valley Lodge near Karatu with meals provided. The lodge offers large quiet rooms, a swimming pool and views of the Crater Highlands.

Early guided game drive taking you down into Ngorongoro Crater for most of the day. The descent into the crater is a spectacular approach and once on the crater floor you will search for lions, hyenas, black rhinos, elephants, flamingos and many other species in a unique volcanic caldera environment. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu with meals included.

Guided game drive through Lake Manyara National Park, known for its elephants, tree-climbing lions and a lake populated by wading birds.
