Bhutan Gangtok Darjeeling Tour

On arrival at New Jalpaiguri (NJP)/ Bagdogra Airport (IXB) meet and greeted by our representative and transfer to Phuensholling (Distance 175 kms 4-5 Hrs). On the way we will drive through Dooars — Phuentsholing / Phuntsholing, the 2nd largest city in Bhutan is on the border of India. Next city of Jaigaon — Phuentsholing is the point of entry for travellers to Bhutan. Upon arrival at Phuensholling check in the hotel and take rest. In the Evening free for your own activity. Overnight stay at Hotel.

In the morning after breakfast Tourist Permit and all the paper work would be done at Phuentsholing. Later we will proceed for Thimphu. It is approximately 175 kms and is nearly 06 hours’ drive from Phuentsholing town. Thimphu is Bhutan’s capital and largest city; it has a population of 104,200. En-route you will see Water Falls & Natural Sightseeing, Chukha Dam (Top View). On arrival check in the Hotel overnight stay.

In the morning after breakfast we will proceed for the local sightseeing and will cover major Sightseeing Covering like Buddha Point, BBS Tower, Tashicchhoe Dzong, The Memorial Chorten, National Library, The Institute of Traditional Medicine, Centenary Farmer Market, Changlimithang Stadium, School of Arts & Crafts, Handicraft Institute, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, Motithang Takin Reserve (Takin Zoo), Semtokha Dzong. In the evening visit local market at Thimphu. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Morning after breakfast will proceed for Paro. En route we will take you to the sightseeing of Pnuakha City where you can see Dochu la Pass, Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong Wangdue Phodrang, Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten. It’s an administrative center of dzongkhag district of Bhutan. It was the capital of Bhutan. Later we will transfer you to the beautiful city of Bhutan Paro. On arrival check in the hotel and overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast we will take you for the sightseeing of Paro which is called Valley of Bhutan very beautiful place with full of natural beauty. Historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered through the area. We will take you Drukgyal Dzong, View of Taktsang Monastery, Kichulanka Monastery, Ta Dzong, Paro Rinpung Dzong (Museum), Nya-Mey Zam, Dungtse Lhakhang, Druk Choeding. Evening free for own activity. In the early morning after leisurely breakfast you can either hike a steeply uphill for 02 to 03 hours to get to the top or ride a Mule/Horse 2 / 3 of the way. On the way you can enjoy tea and snacks. Taktsang, is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist holy site known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery or Taktsang Monastery. It is a precariously perched stunning monastery on the side of a mountain; it looks like it was built into the mountain itself-Bhutan tours generally save Tiger’s Nest for the last day as it allows visitors time to acclimatize to Bhutan’s altitude. Later back to hotel and overnight stay.

In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Phuentsholling 175 kms drive from Paro. There would be refreshment break Phuentsholling. Next we will proceed for the Lataguri it is approx 100 Kms from Phuentsholling. En-route visit green tea gardens. The most beautiful green belt of the region. On arrival check in the hotel and overnight Stay at Hotel in Lataguri.

Option 1: After early morning breakfast, proceed to excursion of Changu/Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (Permits are made one day prior to visit. Tsomgo lake is one of the holy lake of the region and temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside. Till April the area is covered with full snow. Evening get back to the hotel and time is free for leisure purpose. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Note: Nathu La Pass visit has to be arranged one day before where Voters ID card need to be submitted. Nathu La Pass once booked the amount is not refunded even if the trip get cancelled. Nathula Pass supplement charges of INR 4500 – INR 5000 /- has to be paid on the spot as it is not included in the final costing)

Option 2: Morning after breakfast, start for the local visit of Gangtok. Visit to Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View Point, Banjhakri Falls – one of the finest falls close to Gangtok, etc. Return back to hotel for the Overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast, drive to Darjeeling, via Chitrey, place known for White Water River Rafting (if needed opt the service at own cost, it is better to avoid rafting during rainy season). En route visit scenic beauty of hills and drive via Peshok or Takdah, close to Tinchuley. These places are mandatory for stop and photography. Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills, lies in the land of breath-taking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest. On arrival, check in to hotel and get relaxed. Evening spend the time in Mall road for shopping and to enjoy the local foods of the region. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Early morning at 4:00 AM, drive to Tiger Hills, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, War Memorial for the beautiful view in the morning. Get back to hotel for breakfast and proceed to next destinations like Tenzing Rock, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Lebong Race course, Ropeway, Gorkha Stadium, Gorkha handicraft, Tibetans Refugee center, Tea garden. Post lunch visit Japanese Peace Pagoda, Natural History Museum, Ava Art Gallery, Lal Kothi (all these places will be covered according the time factor & road conditions). Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Siliguri. On arrival get dropped at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP).
