After Breakfast drive towards Gulabgarh from kishtwar. It is the significant village of Paddar. It is the hub of all the activities that happens in the area. All the transport services run from here, be it to the Kishtwar town or towards Pangi in Himachal Pradesh. A night stay at near hotel.
After Breakfast drive towards Machail Mata Bhawan. The holy place of Machail Shrine is about 250 kilometer away from Jammu city while 31 kilometer journey of the pilgrim age with night halts at Massu, Chishoti and the Machail villages is covered on foot.
The Sankirtan and gun-gan of the Goddess continues at halting stations till late night. One of the unique features of this Yatra includes non-remembrance of home, kith and kin’s by the pilgrims during pilgrimage. A night stay at Machail.
After Breakfast we move towards Kiahtwar again,Kishtwar is sited on a plateau above the Chenab River and below the Nagin Sheer glacier. It is noted for the fine saffron grown in the area and for the many waterfalls close by. A fall only 3-km from the town drops over 700m in a series of cascades. The Falls are a marvelous sight, visible even from the town. Saffron, a very colourful sight in spring and summer, grows only in a limited area and the cultivation and harvesting is accompanied by merry festivals and ceremonies.
The pilgrimage site of Sarthal Devi, with its 18-armed goddess statue, is 19 km from the town. Kishtwar also has the tombs of two important Muslim saints.
