Nestled within a sprawling 1,500-acre Arabica coffee estate, this retreat is a masterpiece of Cape Dutch architecture, offering 20 luxurious suites and 10 private cottages. Our three-night stay here is a peaceful interlude. You might spend your first afternoon exploring the estate on horseback or mountain bike, or simply relaxing by the pool before a refined high tea and dinner in the Manor’s intimate wine cellar.The following morning, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a true natural masterpiece. This 100-square-mile caldera is home to a concentrated "cast" of 25,000 large mammals. From apex predators to resident hippos, the wildlife density is staggering. After a morning of exploration, we’ll enjoy an elegant bush lunch on the crater floor before ascending the forested walls back to the Manor.Our final foray takes us to Lake Manyara. Often described as the loveliest of Africa’s lakes, its sapphire waters are framed by a white alkali rim and a shimmering haze of coral-colored flamingos. We’ll spend the afternoon navigating the mahogany forests and marshlands, keeping a keen eye out for Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions. After sunset cocktails and canapés in the bush, we return to the Manor for a final, celebratory night.
