However, there was one successor of Madho Singh who increases the fort's size vertically, which started enveloping the house of the ascetic in its shadow. And soon, as a result, the fort began to meets it ends, and within no time, the Bhangarh Fort, Alwar, got abandoned.

There was also another fable, according to that there was a local black magician, who was bewitched by the Aura and beauty of Ratnavati, the Princess of Bhangarh. The magician tried to possess her by casting a spell over Ratnavati's perfume which she would regularly use. However, the Princess came to know of his plan and took the perfume and poured it upon a huge stone boulder. Then the boulder crushed Ratnavati to death. Even the magician, when he was breathing his last, he said that no one will ever be able to live there peacefully, and cursed the whole Bhangarh Fort, Alwar. Since then, the entire fort and its surroundings are believed to be haunted.

The Archaeological Survey of India, the ASI forbids all its locals and visitors from staying around the fort vicinity after the sunsets. The warnings which are mentioned are not just some mere rumors.

There are many people, who have claimed that they have heard, screams of ghosts coming from the Bhangarh Fort, Alwar. Some have also heard, sounds of bangles coming from rooms, women crying and weird eerie smells coming from the fort after dusk. Some people have even claimed to have seen strange lights, ghostly shadows and typically weird sounds of dancing and music also got reported by the people from Bhangarh Fort, Alwar.

There were some brave hearts who tried to stay in the fort after sunset. However, unfortunately, these people have failed to return alive the next morning. All of these daring, brave people have been found dead or missing.

Moreover, for foreign tourists, the entry fee is rupees 200. Moreover, children who fall under the age of 15 years do not need to pay any fee; it's for free.

As the Bhangarh Fort is haunted and also not safe, therefore you cannot find any hotels around the fort. However, you can find some good hotels a little far away from the fort in Alwar. You can also visit the place on a bike. You can reach the fort on a bike as there are well-constructed roads that can easily lead you to the Bhangarh Fort, Alwar. However, you cannot take the bike inside the fort. You can find many small settlements along the way to reach the Bhangarh Fort.

Once you are in the precincts of the Bhangarh Fort, Alwar you will find a wood and tin hoarding which will greet you with the saying that no vehicles are allowed to enter the Fort. Moreover, no one is legally allowed to stay in the Fort before Sunrise or after Sunset. Also, another thing mentioned in the hoarding is about the Pandanus and Kewda trees, these trees are really important and no one who visits the Fort should cause any harm to the trees.

This is something that the Archaeological Survey of India the ASI has decided, and nobody can break this rule. Moreover, whoever thinks of breaking these rules, the government will take strict action against them.
