Lekhapani

Lekhapani is a town located in Tinsukia, Assam. The town is famous for its beautiful tea plantations spread over vast acres of land. Lekhapani is one of the places in the Northeast from where the tea leaves are supplied to different parts of India. Due to its natural charm, people often prefer Lekhapani as a weekend getaway in the Northeast.

Lekhapani is a town decorated by Mother Nature herself. It is encircled by the foothills of Himalayas. The town also serves as one of the leading tea leaves suppliers in the Northeast. Apart from this, the Pangsau Pass also passes through the town of Lekhapani. In the historical times, it was the road that connected India to Myanmar. The pass bears the name of a Burmese village, Pangsau that is merely 2 km from the border.
