About Manipur

Manipur is located in the southern slopes of Sub Himalayan Ranges located in the India’s north east at the longitude 93.03º E to 94.78º E and latitude 23.80º N to 25.68º N. This place has seven lovely ranges of hills bordering a valley of some 700 sq miles known as the Imphal valley. In historical times, Manipur has housed over thirty ethnic groups. Te game Polo has also originated in Manipur.

Geographical Location:  
Manipur is situated in the India’s north eastern part. It is surrounded by Mizoram in the south, Nagaland in the north and Assam’s Cachar District in the west. It shares its international border with Myanmar in the east.
