Tanot Rai Mata Mandir is a famous temple located in Jaisalmer. This temple lies near the border of India and Pakistan near Longewala. It is known as the sister temple to Hinglaj Mata and Karni Mata. This temple holds a great religious significance among the locals as well as the army. It has an unbelievable legend associated with it. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, Pakistan's army dropped numerous bombs at the army base including this temple. Interestingly, none of the bombs exploded.

Tanot Rai Mata Mandir is known for its miracles. It is said that due to the blessings of the Goddess, the Indian army was able to fight the war and was victorious.
This temple is deeply revered by the BSF at Longewala in Jaisalmer. The soldiers perform the aarti on a daily basis of the shrine.
A small museum dedicated to the Indian army houses the unexploded bombs that were dropped by the army of Pakistan during the war.
On all the Hindu festivals, Tanot Rai Mata Mandir is decorated beautifully and is visited by the devotees on a large scale.

Being a temple, Tanot Rai Mata Mandir is visited by the devotees throughout the year. Though the temples are usually visited during the festive season, visiting Tanot Mata Mandir on Independence Day and Republic Day gives a special feeling that cannot be described in words.
Reaching There:-
Due to its location, the temple has a wide connectivity of the roadways. The local transit is the best mode for commuting to and from the shrine conveniently. However, going beyond the temple boundaries is strictly prohibited due to security reasons.
