Rokadiya Hanuman Temple is a famous Hindu temple in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is located in the city of Porbandar and is highly revered by the locals of the area. According to the legend, Lord Hanuman was worshiped here by a saint who lived a life of 200 years! He used to pray to Lord Hanuman and provided the solution to the problems of the devotees. 1) In the regional dialect, ‘Rokadiya’ means ‘immediately’ and according to the devotees of Lord Hanuman, their prayers are answered immediately. This fetched the name Rokadiya Hanuman Temple to this shrine.
2) Initially, the presiding deity of the temple was represented by a rock and was worshiped for the next 200 years by a saint.
3) The new structure was constructed after a prolonged period of time. It is built in the Hindu style of architecture and houses the new idol of the deity.
4) The new deity is an eight-feet-tall structure in a standing position. There is the same stone representation in the main sanctum and the first prayer of the day is offered to it.

Rokadiya Hanuman Temple is a place that is visited on a huge scale by the locals and tourists. Though it can be visited during any day, the best time for visiting the temple is on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami. All Tuesdays and Saturdays are auspicious days and the footfall doubles up.
