5-Day Lake Mburo NP, Gorilla in Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi

Upon arrival you will be welcomed and picked up by the safari guide who will brief you about the 5-day Lake Mburo, Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari. You will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park passing small towns along the Kampala-Mbarara Road with an opportunity to stop at the Equator crossing for photography and experiments. The journey includes an en-route lunch in Mbarara city followed by final arrival in the park and check in at Mburo safari lodge. Relax for the rest of the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After an early morning breakfast embark on a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park to view wildlife including zebras, impalas, buffaloes, warthogs and other species. Return to the lodge for lunch and later in the day undertake a 2 hours boat excursion on Lake Mburo to see hippos, crocodiles and water birds such as the African fish eagle and the rare African finfoot. After the boat cruise return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mburo safari lodge.

After breakfast take a cycling excursion around Lake Mburo National Park to view wildlife including topi, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes and impalas. Return to the lodge for lunch, check out and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to prepare for the next days gorilla trekking adventure. On arrival check in at Buhoma community haven lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast and packing your lunch proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking where the guide will explain essential guidelines for interacting with the mountain gorillas. You will then be transported to the starting point for your designated gorilla family and begin the trek which can last from 30 minutes to three quarters of a day depending on location. During the trek the guide will share insights about trees, birds and other wildlife until you reach the gorilla family where you will have one hour to photograph and observe them. After the gorilla experience proceed to Lake Bunyonyi and check in at Lake Bunyonyi eco resort with an option to tour around the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

After breakfast drive back towards Entebbe International Airport with a lunch stop in Mbarara city. Continue to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
