The Lalji Temple, Bishnupur, was built by the Malla king Bir Singha, along with Shikharaand it was built on a platform that was raised and square in shape. This Lalji Temple is devoted to the Radha and Krishna. The temple has Bengali architecture along with decorations of ornamental stucco.

 

There is a dancing hall present in front of the temple. And there is also a tower which is in the west, fully dedicated to Raghunath. The outer yard is fully divided from the inner with the help of a wall. And also, has a Pancharatna temple, a little small in size, for the Kameswar Shiva.

 

The temple is completely enclosed by a wall with a passage of gateway and it falls towards east. In the gateway front, you will find two cars one for Lord Raghunath and the other one for Lord Lalji. During the festival of Dussehra, they are taken out for the procession. There are many Bengali inscriptions found all around the Lalji Temple, Bishnupur.

• The great King Chaitanya Singha built the Radha Shyam Temple- this temple, in the year 1758. The shikhara of the temple is dome-shaped along with stucco motifs. Motifs depict geometric, floral and life of Puranas. This temple is popularly known among people for its architecture, which is the terracotta style and also because of its dedication towards Lord Krishna.

• Lalji Temple, Bishnupur- This temple is a Laterite Eka-Ratna temple which was built in the year 1658, by the King of the Malla dynasty BirSingha II. The temple was built on a raised, square plinth that has decorations of ornamental stucco on the relief carvings. There is a Natmandir in front of Lalji Temple, Bishnupur, commonly known as the dancing hall. The temple is dedicated to Sri Krishna and Sri Radha.
