Meera Bai spent most of the time inside the temple singing the praises of Lord Krishna. Some courtiers planned a conspiracy against her and mixed poison in the charnamrit she used to keep in front of Lord Krishna. It is said that Lord Krishna drank the poison himself to save her and that's the reason his entire body turned blue.
