Lodhi Fort, Ludhiana Overview

Built by a Sikander Lodhi 500 years ago, Lodhi Fort is a huge fort and a tourist attraction in Ludhiana. It was built to signify the dominance of the Lodhi dynasty in the region that was later known as Lodhiana and presently as Ludhiana. This fort is built in a manner that it has tunnels underneath it that connect it with the residence of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. 



It Is Known For:-


1) Lodhi Fort is a well-known tourist attraction. Though it stands in a semi-ruined position, it still has the charm of catching the attention of visitors.


2) Till the year 1946, it was in a well-maintained condition but after the independence, its some gates were entirely destroyed due to the natural calamities.


3) The interiors of the fort still carry the carvings of the ancient era.


4) It has beautiful surroundings that are used as a place for conducting photo shoots. Couples in a large number can be spotted getting themselves clicked near the ruined fort.
