Chakra Tirtha is a well-known shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also known by the name of Narayan Chakra Tirtha because Lord Vishnu is worshiped here in the form of Chakra Narayana, where he carries the Sudarshan Chakra, his weapon. Not only Lord Vishnu but, his weapon is also worshiped by the devotees at this shrine.
The Legend Of The Temple:-
According to the locals, once a cyclone struck at the region. It was strong enough that it displaced the chakra from the dome of Jagannath Temple and miraculously flew till the present-day shrine of Chakra Tirtha. It is also said that the Daru wood that was used for carving the chakra touched the ground for the first time.
Deities Worshiped:-
Chakra Tirtha enshrines the three forms of Lord Nrusingha. They are known by the name of Abhaya Nrusingha, Chakra Nrusingha, and Laxmi Nrusingha. These forms are the representations of Bal Bhadra, Jagannath, and Subhadra.

Chakra Tirtha is visited by the devotees in a large number. Being a huge crowd puller, this shrine is visited by people throughout the year and the footfall is increased on the occasion of Shri Jagannath Janmotsava and Rath Yatra.

Chakra Tirtha is located in an astir area near the main shrine of Jagannath. It is well-connected via roadways and can be easily accessed by the sharing shuttles or private taxis that are available at regular intervals.
