How to Reach?


• By air – The nearest airport is Jubarhati (23 km away). Regular flights run on the Jubarhati – Delhi ad Jubarhati – Chandigarh way. After reaching the airport, you can take a cab to reach Shimla.

• By bus – several bus services are offered by HRTC (Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation) in North India. There are private bus services too. Online reservations are available for those.

• By train – Shimla has a very small railway station that lies 1 km away from the main city. It is connected with Kalka railway station by a narrow toy train route. You can ride on a toy train leaving Kalka towards Shimla which covers 96 km distance in almost 7 hours. Kalka is connected through railways with Delhi and Chandigarh.

The ruling deity of the Kamna Devi temple, Shimla is goddess Kali, who is another form of Devi Durga. Locals believe that she fulfills the prayers of her disciples who come here riding through the Prospect Hill.
