Vellore Fort is an architectural marvel and the 'Pride of Vellore'. It is a huge fort that was built in the 16th century by the Vijayanagar kings. In the previous times, this fort served as the ruling throne for the Aravidu dynasty. This fort spans vast acres of land and houses a mosque, a temple, 2 palaces, and a garden. Till date, it has not lost the charm of attracting the people on a large scale.

3) Tipu Palace that was used by Tipu Sultan as a shelter was transformed into a royal prison. Tipu and his family, Hyder Ali and his family were imprisoned here for lifetime
4) The grave of Vickrama Rajasinghe, the last monarch of Sri Lanka (Ceylon), is also located here
