Yeniar Shrines

The Yeniar Shrines is located towards the south of the ancient and historical site of Aihole, which is in Bagalkot, Karnataka. They are found along the shores of the River Malaprabha and offer a very peaceful and serene setting for those looking for an escape. It is a group of shrines which is visited by a number of devotees for offering their tributes. There are eight shrines within this temple complex and each shrine has its own significance. All the eight shrines are a type of small temple which consists of a hall, porch, and a cell temple. According to the local beliefs, all these shrines or temples were constructed during the 12th century and hold historic significance. The Yeniar Shrines is located towards the south of Aihole on the banks of River Malaprabha. It is seamlessly connected by road and local buses or private cabs and autos can be taken to reach there.
