Bannerghatta National Park, Bangalore Overview

About 21 kms. from the city, this lion and tiger safari park is an important place to visit. There is also a Crocodile and snake farm attracting many visitors. There are regular bus services from the city to this place.

Bannerghatta National Park is an important place to visit. It is located amidst sylvan surroundings. Going to a zoo can be a vastly different experience from seeing animals in the wild. It sure does give nature lovers a glimpse of wild animals in their natural habitat. Its main attractions are bisons, lions, elephants and panthers among other wildlife.

It also has a Serpentarium and a crocodile farm. It is teemed with people and is a favorite picnic spot. The park officials organise a Lion Safari for those interested. Bannerghatta National Park project was established in 1971. It also comprises of pets corner, and a museum besides a park of pre-historic animals.
