Baiju Temple

Baiju Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine in Jharkhand. It is located in Deoghar and dedicated to the 'Lord of Lords' Neelkantha. The temple holds an equal value like that of Baidyanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Each day, numerous devotees flock to Baiju Temple to pay their respect to Lord Shiva.

Why Is It Famous?
1) Baiju Temple is a part of Baidyanath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India
2) It enshrines Lord Shiva in the form of a Shivalinga. Like every other Jyotirlinga, the Shivalinga present inside the sanctum is said to be self-manifested
3) Just like Baidyanath Temple, devotees also pray here to get rid of the diseases
4) The bhasma aarti at the temple is attended by many pilgrims every day

Best Time To Visit:-
Being a holy shrine, people visit Baiju Temple on a daily basis. Mondays attract a huge number of devotees. Maha-Shivaratri is a major festival that is celebrated here with a great pomp. During the month of Shravan, Baiju Temple remains flooded with devotees.
