Hasanamba Temple is one of the prominent tourist attractions in Karnataka. It is a Hindu temple located in Hassan district and is dedicated to Goddess Durga. She is worshiped here in the form of Hasanamba Devi, the smiling goddess. The unique aspect of this temple is simply enchanting because it opens to the devotees once a year! People can imagine the flood of devotees that come here to pay the respects to the Goddess.

4) When the shrine is opened the next year, the flowers are found in the fresh state and the rice is eaten. This strengthens the devotion of the pilgrims even more.
Best Time To Visit:-
Since this temple opens only once a year, it can only be visited during that sacred day when it is opened. It is usually opened around Deepawali.
Watch Out!
Try to see the moving rock. It is said that once a female devotee was praying to Hasanamba Devi when her mother-in-law threw a stone at her. The stone hit the woman’s head and she began to bleed. While crying, she urged the goddess and listening to her, the goddess transformed the mother-in-law into a rock. Legends claim that this rock moves an inch near the idol of the goddess every year and when it will touch her lotus feet, the Kaliyuga will end.
