Begum Mahal

An enchanting fort in the ancient times, Begum Mahal is a remarkable travel destination in the district of Mandla, Madhya Pradesh. It is the palace of Queen Chimney Rani, the Queen of Gond tribe. It is built using the sandstone and black stone in an amalgamation of the Hindu-Islamic style of architecture. Although it stands in a ruined state today, it still has the charm of catching the attention of visitors.

Though there’s no special time for paying a flying visit to Begum Mahal, one can be present at the site during any time of the year. However, the best time for spending a day’s itinerary is during November-February as the weather is pleasantly cool.
