Situated just across the Lakshman Jhula, is this newly constructed building famous for attractive paintings and statues from the Hindu mythology. Founded in early 1950s, it runs a free Ayurvedic Dispensary and has a branch of the Gita Press, Gorakhpur.

 

There are several hundred rooms for visiting pilgrims. The famous Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharta are described here on the walls. This is an ideal place to buy bedsheets, sarees and various other clothes. The asafetida of Rishikesh is very famous.

    We took a package for Rishikesh in June, 2015 and we were were four persons. In the beginning thought that we are stucked but later we came to know that all the camps are almost same and toilets are always outside the tents. But initially, we were not aware of this.
