Mendabari Fort is a well-known tourist attraction located in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. Popularly, this fort is known by the name of Nal Rajar Garh and is located deep into forests of Chilapata. It is said that it was the first identified fortification in this region and was known by the name of 'Pundrabardhan Bhukti'. Though this fort is in a semi-ruined position today, still it has the charm that captivates the tourists on a large scale.

1) Mendabari Fort, or Nal Rajar Garh, was constructed by Gupta Dynasty during their rule in Jalpaiguri. According to the history, the reign of Gupta dynasty was a golden period in the region

3) The architecture of Mendabari Fort near the bathing ghats was constructed keeping in mind with the moat system. It was the first ever moat bathing ghat in Jalpaiguri
4) Interestingly, there's a tree located in the complex of the fort and is said to be the oldest tree in Mendabari Fort
