About Ram Tirath temple On the outskirts of Amritsar is this significant historic birthplace of Lav and Kush. It is the spot where sage Valmiki's ashram stood and this is a sacred place for the Hindus where we get a glimpse of statues illustrating scenes from the Ramayana. Significance The place gets a special mention in the great Hindu epic "Ramayana". It was here that Sita came after Rama deserted her. It was here that the great saint Maharishi Valmiki gave her shelter and protection. Mata Sita gave birth to twins "Luv"and "Kush" the great sons of Lord Rama. Maharishi Valmiki conducted them to highest levels in education in the realms of religious and social life besides intricacies of warfare.

    I went to Himachal Pradesh with Amritsar and I was offered packages and services by Go Squad Ride. Only those things should be kept in mind that you are choosing the location of the hotel and services. Because prices are depends on services . I show many packages in different costs , but one things noted that there are difference in prices 2000 or 3000 but quality of services have large difference.     Shashi picked us up from the Dharamsala airport on our very first day in India and was very helpful and kind to us during our stay. The second day we left for Amritsar and spent the whole day with Shashi (5 hours each direction)... he managed to put up with two chit chatty Americans for about 15 hours that day and we appreciate him for that. He made sure we stopped at good restaurants and that we got into the Golden Temple no problem. He also took us sightseeing around Dharamsala on our third day and returned us to the airport on our final day. We would definitely recommend his help for any Americans traveling to India.     We had a nine days tour of Dhauladhar circuit including Jwalaji,Chintpurni ji, Amritsar etc with Munish Kalia owner of the co. He was kind enough to accompany us as driver. He is a smiling out and out gentleman and has thorough knowledge of roads, restaurants, points of attraction and place of stay. Although we pre booked our hotels of Himachal tourism but the places of stay/ homestay he pointed out are also location wise beautiful. We could explore many places not known to us but with tremendous natural beauty.His cost of car hiring was competitive. In a word he is a complete package of tour. We wish to have another himachal tour with him. Our experience with him will be ever lasting and his gentle behavior will be our sweetest memory. ...more

    From 25th Feb. to 3rd March, our trip to Rajasthan and Amritsar was arranged by SUN BIRD JOURNEY represented by Baishakhi This was our first trip through them. As per our requirement, they organised everything. from Accommodation to Transport. Air tickets, accommodation vouchers receipts were all delivered at home. The Accommodations were very good. The best rooms were at Amritsar with all modern facilities including complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits with an electric kettle in the rooms. Transport was also very good. The best part of the trip was, Baishakhi was always in touch with me from the very first day to the last enquiring about everything.That was very nice of her responsibility.     We were eight members booked package from Chandigarh for Amritsar - Khajjiar - Dharmshala. Have a great experience with Pretty planet travels. Well maintained tampo Traveller with decent soft spoken driver, who gave us a experience of drive through a land slide and dangerous Jot pass(a peak of Himachal) very patiently.
