Sightseeing: A breath-taking view of Kanchenjunga peak can be obtained from Tashi View Point. Tsomgo Lake, Himalayan Zoological Park and Ban Jhakri Falls are also popular with tourists. Ganesh Tok Point gives a mesmerising view of Gangtok from above.
Monasteries: The oldest monastery which made Gangtok a significant place is Enchey Monastery, built in 1840. Other religious places in this town are Rumtek Monastery and Lingdum Monastery to name a few.
