Flora and Fauna Museum

Originally known by the name of Shenbaganur Museum, Flora and Fauna Museum is an amazing place for the visitors and tourists in Kodaikanal. It is situated in the premises of Sacred Heart College and serves as a rest-house for the relics of the ancient animals that are now extinct and some rare herbs. It Is Known For:-
1) Shenbaganur Museum came into existence after the joint efforts of the students and faculty members of Sacred Heart College. Initially, it used to b a place where the moths and butterflies were kept display
2) Gradually, this museum became a prominent name and opened a herbarium as well. In the herbarium, one can see the various herbs that are displayed. This section of the museum has fetched it the name Botanical Museum as well
3) At Shenbaganur Museum, the models of the extinct animals are displayed with their information. Apart from the extinct animals, it also has a separate section where the taxidermy animals are displayed
