Shri Mankameshwar Mandir is one of the most beautiful and worshipped ancient temples in India located at the land of Rawatpara near the Jama Masjid in Agra. The shivalinga inside Shri Mankameshwar Mandir, Agra, as per the Hindu mythology, is said to be constructed by lord Shiva himself during the time when lord Krishna was born in Mathura. There is no denying the fact that you are definitely going to enjoy visiting this amazingly beautiful and peaceful historical temple.

As far as the history details are talked about, it is also said that Lord Shiva appeared in Mankameshwar Temple straight from Mount Kailash. It is also said if Lord Krishna played in his lap, Lord Shiva thought of creating Shivlinga there inside the temple. Nonetheless, Lord Krishna’s mom, Yashoda asked Lord Shiva to stay away from the little one asshe was worried if Krishna would get scared of Shiva. While all this was going on, Lord Krishna started crying and pointed towards Lord Shiva who was hiding behind the Banyan tree. And that’s when Yashoda ji asked Shiva ji to bless Krishna. And after this scene, Shiva returned to this place and created a linga.
