The zoo is open every day of a week except Tuesday from 8.30AM to 5.30PM (summer) and 9AM to 5PM (winter).




In 1868, Sawai Raja Pratap Singh has founded this Zoological Garden. His intention was dearth reprieve. According to the historical records found against this zoological garden, at that time, he invested an enormous amount of 4 lakhs in building this chronological garden. It is built on a massive 33 acres are of the core city. During the reign of Sawai Ram Singh II, this zoo got established. It was settled on the verdict of the ancient Shilpa Shastra.




Imposed metaphorical palaces and monuments in the animation of its natural beauty are quite prominent in Zoological Garden, Jaipur. The long-winged garden of Jaipur zoo plays a big role in the fame of this pink city. The garden has some pools which gleam like quicksilver. The fountains present in the garden are carved beautifully. And, colourful flowerbeds fringe the frontline of the Zoological Park, Jaipur. Winter remains the best season to visit Zoological Garden, Jaipur. You may visit between October and March as weather remains pleasant during this time and you will not get exhausted to walk under the sun for longer times.
