Bimbisara's Jail

Jail where the King Bimbisara's was detained and put in captivity by his son Ajatshatru, lies in the Rajgir city of Bihar. Right at the northern side of the jail also lies the beautiful Maniyar Math. It is widely known that King Bimbisara decided to spend the rest of his life in the Bimbisara's Jail. Location of the jail provided king Bimbisara a perfect view of Griddhakuta Hill, from where he was able to Lord Buddha going atop the hill for meditation.

It Is Famous For:-
It is a famous tourist spot, where tourists gather to witness the remains of rich Indian history. Here from the site, the tourists also get to see a scenic view of the Japanese Peace Pagoda, which lies at the top of the hill.

Best Time To Visit:-
Travelers can come to Rajgir during any season, but winters feel pleasant as compared to the summers and the monsoon. The winter season starts from the October month every month and lasts till February.
