  Every day of my eight-day short Grass Plains Migration Safari in December was full with new experiences. It is truly amazing to see thousands of wildebeest and their young in the Ndutu area. Watching lions and cheetahs during the game drive in Serengeti was the best part of the entire trip. I enjoyed the bird life at Lake Manyara.   As soon as I entered Lake Manyara, I saw many birds - some on the lake's edge, some flying in the sky. Then as we went down into the Ngorongoro Crater, the whole place opened in front of our eyes, it seemed like a small world. Elephants, giraffes, zebras - everyone is walking in their own way.   Our budget camping safari was truly a thrill. On the very first day in Tarangire, we saw the huge elephant herd very closely, which was like a movie scene for us. Going to Lake Manyara is an amazing experience to see a lion sitting on a tree. In Serengeti, the sky was filled with dust from numerous zebras and wildebeest, and it was truly unimaginable to see so many animals in one day inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide was a very knowledgeable and funny man, who explained the behavior of each animal very well.   We had a wonderful 12 days. The first was a game drive in Kenya's Masai Mara, and we saw numerous lions, zebras, and deer. I was really surprised to see the Great Migration of the Mara River in front of my eyes. Then I went to Lake Nakuru, where rhinos and thousands of flamingos were seen. From Amboseli to Mt. Kilimanjaro, the view was beautiful. At the end, seeing so many animals together in Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania felt like I was in the best place in the world.   We were very impressed with this 7-day trip. On the first day in Tarangire National Park, the beginning of the journey was wonderful by seeing the group of elephants and big baobab trees. Then it was incredible to go to Serengeti and see thousands of wildebeest and groups of zebras in a huge field. Our guide showed each animal very patiently. Seeing lions, rhinos, and hyenas at the Ngorongoro Crater was the most exciting moment of the trip.   We started with Lake Manyara National Park. Breaking the fog in the morning, when the car entered the park, we saw a group of monkeys jumping on the trees, colorful flamingos, and a family of elephants by the water. From there we went to the Ndutu area, where the famous Great Migration is taking place - thousands of gnu and zebras are running across the grasslands together. The sound was so loud that I could hear the heartbeat of the world. One afternoon in the Serengeti National Park, we saw a cheetah hunting with great precision. Standing at the Ngorongoro Crater on the last day, seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards at the same time - truly one of the best moments of life. And after listening to the dance, songs, and stories of the warriors in the Maasai village, the journey was complete. ...more
