  Every day of my eight-day short Grass Plains Migration Safari in December was full with new experiences. It is truly amazing to see thousands of wildebeest and their young in the Ndutu area. Watching lions and cheetahs during the game drive in Serengeti was the best part of the entire trip. I enjoyed the bird life at Lake Manyara.   Each day of the trip is a different experience. The tranquil environment of Tarangire, the birds and baboons of Manyara, the big cats of Serengeti - all are worth seeing. I was thrilled to see the gonus running in front of the crocodiles of the Grumeti River. At the end is the Ngorongoro Crater - a huge natural theater.   Our 6-day safari was truly amazing! Seven Wonders Safaris organized everything very well. Starting the journey from Arusha I was fascinated to see the green forest of Tarangire and the herd of elephants. It was a great experience to see lions, rhinos and other animals in Ngorongoro Crater. And Serengeti is the best part of the whole trip - huge fields, beautiful sunsets and a variety of wildlife.   Our budget camping safari was truly a thrill. On the very first day in Tarangire, we saw the huge elephant herd very closely, which was like a movie scene for us. Going to Lake Manyara is an amazing experience to see a lion sitting on a tree. In Serengeti, the sky was filled with dust from numerous zebras and wildebeest, and it was truly unimaginable to see so many animals in one day inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide was a very knowledgeable and funny man, who explained the behavior of each animal very well.   I am an ardent traveller and thus I planned to visit WILDLIFE SANCTUARIES in Tanzania. On searching the net I selected Open Earth Tours for the Tour Package. The reason being the itinerary, selection of hotels and a very competitive price. The itinerary covered all the major sanctuaries Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. The safari vehicle was excellent and the Tour Guide was so well versed with area that he took us to the location where the action was. We could observe Lions chasing buffalo, Cheetah chasing deer, Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, Girrafe, Zebras and what not ?. The Tour manager was in constant touch with us enquiring about the Tour. The whole tour was excellently planned right from airport pick up till airport drop. Whlie Airport drop the tour manager went out of the way & took me the Mount Kilimanjaro sighting point.   I have traveled a lot in my life, but what I saw at the Mara River Crossing in the Serengeti was truly a unique experience. When thousands of new wildebeest were crossing the river together, there were crocodiles nearby - the cruelty and beauty of nature were seen together. It would not have been possible to see this scene from such a close distance without the experience and accurate timing of our guide.
