Ajanta Caves : - About 107 kms from the city of Aurangabad, there lies the rock-cut caves of Ajanta nestled in a panoramic gorge. It has some of the finest Buddhist architecture, cave paintings and sculptures.
Ellora Caves : - Situated north of Aurangabad, the cave temples and monasteries at Ellora have been excavated out of the vertical face of an escarpment. These structures were enroute for pilgrims, traders and travellers. There are temples, monasteries carved on the mountainous terrain.
Mumbai : - The first railway line on which train moved in India was laid between Mumbai and Thane. The city which hosted the first Indian National Congress. The city which is the commercial capital of India. Yes, this is Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra. Situated on the coast of the Arabian Sea, the city is blessed with a natural port, thereby facilitating international trade.

Elephanta : - Tucked on the little island of Elephanta in the Arabian Sea, there are seven caves in the place. The most important cave is the Mahesha-Murti cave.
Bhandardara : - Amidst the dense forests, there lies one of the most splendid lakes of the country, Arthur Lake. The waters of the river Pravara forms this lake. Another attraction of the place is the Wilson Dam which was built in 1910 on the river Pravara and is almost 492 ft above sea level.
