Food in Ibiza forms a part of the Mediterranean cuisine and is based on fish and meat, with a long tradition of both sweet and savory pastries. Amongst the traditional dishes are the sopa del menuts (an offal soup), dry rice, la borrida de rajada (a dish made from fish stomachs), Ibizan-style tuna, partidge served with cabbage, roast pork, fried octopus, various stews, the sofrit pagés (rustic stir-frys with meat, potatoes, vegetables etc) and fish soups. There are also wonderful sausages such as sobrassada and botifarro.
